Finding the Perfect Resort for your Destination Wedding

You’re dreaming of a destination wedding that combines the charm of a tropical paradise with the convenience of an all-inclusive resort in Mexico or the Caribbean. Look no further; your dream wedding is about to become a reality! Here are the essential considerations for choosing the perfect all-inclusive resort for your special day.

Budget Friendly

Establishing a budget you are comfortable asking your guests to pay is crucial. While we’re juggling a range of budgets, and we want to keep the trip affordable, we don’t want to sacrifice quality for the cheapest resort either. This IS your wedding after all!

Decide how much you’d like your guests to spend for a 3-night stay. A typical price point is $1200- $1800 per person. This price includes the flights, the room, roundtrip transportation between the airport and hotel, all meals, snacks, drinks, and taxes.

Proximity to the Airport

The distance between the resort and the nearest airport is important too. After a long flight, you’ll want to arrive at the hotel without unnecessary hassle. Consider how far the resort is from the airport. Shorter travel times means the party can start sooner!

Atmosphere and Ambiance

For now, only focus on the overall look and feel of the resort. Wedding packages and resort venues are all similar. The resort ambiance sets the tone for the whole trip.

Can you imagine hanging out with your guests at the pools and swim up bar?

Do you like the look of the rooms?

 Are there enough restaurants?

 How is the beach?

Family-Friendly or Adults Only

This goes along with the ambiance of the resort. Adults only resorts have a VERY different vibe than family-friendly. A lot of couples struggle with this decision. They want adults only but will have a few young children attending the wedding. Even one child under the age of 18 will require a family-friendly resort. If you are truly envisioning an adults only, romantic wedding experience, then choosing an adults only resort is the way to go.

Some resorts have a family section and an adults section which is a fabulous compromise so no one feels left out.
