Why did you choose Kate’s Travel?
Nermina’s Brother and sister-in-law used Kate’s Travel to plan their destination wedding. They felt Kate’s service was very helpful and after a thorough consultation with Kate, we were convinced we needed her assistance to help us choose and plan our destination wedding.
What led you to choose a destination wedding?
Unlike traditional weddings, which are usually a single-day affair, a destination wedding allowed us to spend quality time with our guests both before and after our ceremony. We envisioned an intimate celebration with our closest family and friends. A destination wedding allowed us to bring together our nearest and dearest friends and family.
Describe the booking process for your guests.
Kate’s wedding website made the process extremely easy for both us and our guests at the wedding. The process was very straightforward, but in the event any of our guests needed any assistance, Kate was available and even had an emergency phone number where everyone could get immediate help.
She also helped get our guests to book in a timely manner, saving us the headache of having to follow up with each guest. She provided a payment plan, and timely reminders and helped get everyone on the same page. Airport Transportation was also prearranged as part of the booking process.
What were some of your biggest fears or things you worried about as your wedding date drew near? How did you get through this?
Our biggest fear was the weather! Having a destination wedding in Punta Cana, we were worried about everything from an afternoon shower to a major hurricane. As the wedding neared, we realized severe weather events that would put our entire wedding into jeopardy were very rare. We continued to monitor the situation anxiously and were greatly relieved about a week before the wedding day, once we realized we were in the clear. As far as rain, it rained during our outdoor reception, and it was awesome! We moved a few feet over to remain dry, took a 15-minute break, and continued to party once the rain let up. Our wedding coordinator had multiple contingencies in case of a more severe storm, so our wedding would’ve been fine in any way.
Describe the meeting you had with the onsite wedding team when you arrived at the resort.
Our on-site wedding coordinator, reached out to us upon arrival to meet the next morning. Although we had mostly finalized our wedding planning at this point, she helped us tie up loose ends and was extremely accommodating! We didn’t even have our guest list finalized, as a few guests were still unsure whether they could make it. She was able to maneuver easily in either scenario. We also brought a ton of our own décor, which Marcibel took and set up for us to add our personal touch to the wedding. The meeting was very quick & pleasant and she helped make everything easy and perfect for us.
Were your guests wowed by the resort and the all-inclusive concept? What was their reaction upon arrival?
Yes, our guests were very impressed with the resort, both aesthetically and with the level of service we received. More importantly, our guests were all raving about the resort even after the stay. From entertainment to dining, to the completely stress-free all-inclusive experience, choosing to have this important day at a stunning all-inclusive resort is something we would recommend to anyone.
