Wedding Q & A with Courtney & Garrett:
Why did you decide to have a destination wedding?
Garrett and I had been to a destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas a year prior to getting engaged and we loved the idea of being in a beautiful place and getting to spend multiple days with our guests since we have family and friends all around the country. We agreed we would do a destination wedding before we got engaged!
Why did you choose Kate’s Travel?
We spoke with multiple travel agents and after the first meeting with Kate, we felt that she really understood our vision and was willing to help us with research as well as advise us from her personal experience. She was very responsive and we felt that we could trust her with planning a relatively large destination wedding.
Describe the meeting you had with the onsite wedding team when you arrived at the resort.
The day after we arrived we met with our fantastic wedding coordinator Raquel, we went over all of the plans for the welcome dinner, rehearsal, and wedding day. There were a few small things that were miscommunicated such as what our sweetheart table would look like but she made sure my vision was executed. She then showed us the location of each event. She was so personable and added some great suggestions for the flow of the big day that I had never considered. Overall it was a great meeting and eased my anxiety about the wedding day.
Describe the booking process for your guests.
Kate was very hands-on with the booking process, she created a website for our guests to book through. Several guests had specific requests that required direct communication with Kate and she was very accommodating. Many of our guests complimented us about how easy the booking process was with Kate!
How did Kate’s Travel make the planning less stressful for you?
Using a trusted and professional travel agent like Kate is SO helpful and reduces stress when coordinating the wedding guests’ travel. She was also helpful with coordinating with the wedding department. I felt that the response time from the wedding coordinator was relatively quick since she was cc’d on all the emails compared to other people who have planned a destination wedding without a travel agent.
